Date: 2008-12-17 12:25 pm (UTC)I'll email you some of the pictures of you. The ones I took where you're smiling are all blurry, but Jacquelyn took some of you looking thoughtful or pensive or something :)

Date: 2008-12-17 12:32 pm (UTC)Notify everyone who wishes to participate in advance of the party:
1.)Bring a wrapped gift not labeled
2.)Gifts should be inexpensive
To begin:
All participants draw a number from a hat or bowl to determine playing order.
The participant with #1 unwraps any gift from the pile and then shows it to everyone.
Each successive participant, in the order determined from the drawing, takes one turn.
Each turn consists of:
Choosing any gift from the unopened pile.
Unwrapping it and showing it to everyone.
At this point you have two choices:
A.) hold on to the gift if you like it, or
B.) swap the gift with an already opened gift.
If someone chooses to take the gift you're holding away from you in a swap, you have to trade it to them.
No one actually owns their chosen gift until every person has had a turn.
After everyone has had a turn, everyone's gifts are theirs to keep.
So yeah, if you don't like what you get, you an steal someone else's gift :)
