I love the treatments of your photos. How do you get that yellow-effect grainy image? Do you use photoshop afterwards. It reminds me a bit of the way Noah Baumbach seems to shoot his films.
I have a photoshop file set up with a bunch of textures/filters set up so all I have to do is pop in a photo and adjust until I like it. Dark blue exclusion layers for the yellowing, scratchy & corduroy patters for the texture, various grainy fades, et cetera.
Someone else on my flist said I should be their cinematographer. I would love to see a movie that looked like my photos.
I've thought of the movie too. It'd be a dramatisation of the life of Uri Geller (or an approximation thereof), specifically when he claimed that a kidnap victim was going to turn up alive and well, but when they found her she was mutilated. When the female lead finds Geller in his house, crumpled up in a ball in the corner of his room after he finds out that he was wrong, she discovers all manner of psychic turmoil has turned the house around (or, in his agitated state he has unknowingly used mentalism to destroy all the silverware and clocks). This dramatic episode would only serve as a launching pad for a movie about celebrity, mentalism and all things occult.
Granted: Uri Geller himself is sort of lame. Everything would be highly fictionalized.
There are other ideas too, but this one would maybe be the most fun.
Thanks! Hanging is definitely on the agenda at some point.
Nope, still using the old ones. You can get a LOT of life out of the low batteries if you don't use the flash. The flash is what really eats up the battery.

I take it you found batteries? Funny, we didn't have any when I wanted to take the camera to BOSTON.
