Today, I have to do my first bit of homework.  Technically, I was supposed to have read the first chapter of my psychology book for class last week but the book hadn't arrived yet.  And when it did arrive, it was covered with plain white stickers which when removed revealed that it's an examination copy - not for resale.  Bastards, I paid $85 for this book!  (Which, by the way, is ridiculous.  I had no idea college textbooks were such an outstanding mafia-thug racket.)

I also have to write a paper, okay, technically an essay, four pages long, on my personality.  Not using anything from the book, just a description of my personality.  I think this will be more difficult for myself since I spent many years dissecting my personality, breaking it down and rebuilding it.  I know myself better than I probably should.  The next paper I have to write is on my personality - and the reasons I am the way I am.  I'm having difficulty figuring out how to separate the two.  On the bright side, the second paper will be a breeze.

Tomorrow, I have my first dentist appointment in, let's see.. six or seven years I think.  My teeth are fine and dandy, with the exception of a single cavity (albeit a pretty bad one, though my first and only) on my lower right wisdom tooth.  Though my previous dentist said not to worry, that I would be able to keep my wisdoms, I'm actually quite glad to be rid of them.  Hopefully my dentist will agree.  Which means I may have them extracted as soon as tomorrow morning.  Which will make work and class on Tuesday so supremely amazing.

Ethan is back in school also, beginning 7th grade.  He's got a fresh new wardrobe and enough school supplies to choke Godzilla's little nephew Godzuki.  Though he said he wasn't looking forward to school this year, he seems pretty excited now that it's started.  He's taking French this year and says it's his favorite class.  His English teacher is a bit like Delores Umbridge, apparently.  He's also switched to baritone saxophone in band.  Hopefully we can overcome the issues he had last year.  He got all A's and B's with the occasional C, all his teachers said he was a joy to have in class, extremely bright, etc... but that he seemed content with minimal effort, showed inconsistent effort, slacked off, or talked too much and goofed off a lot.  Not that I have much issue with goofing off a bit in school, but you know.

I suppose I'll go eat some breakfast now and then squeeze in a [profile] jackstaxi post before I dive into my psychology book.  It will probably be a beautiful day and I'll be stuck in the house doing homework.  Oh well, that's back-to-school, right?
