While talking with a friend from Minneapolis, whose Saturn returns in September, I realised that my Saturn is coming back in just under a year. This means that I need to use this year very wisely to get things in order, because this year, things will begin to crystalise and focus. I'd rather have this be a year of structuring and progression than a year of death and destruction.

Is it wrong that I was born in and have always lived in America, yet I have an innate tendency to spell words with the British 's' instead of a 'z'? I don't mean to exclude 'z'; I feel it's a deprived letter and should be used more. Why do I do this?!

I have Saturn in Leo which is a bad place for it, in general, though I try to think of it as a crystalising force in a creative and dynamic way:P

Saturn in Leo used to be considered a detriment by the ancients. Course, Libra as a constellation didn't exist, Saturn ruled both Cap and Aquarius. But Libra became a sign between Virgo and Scorpio, much later, Uranus was discovered, and assigned to Aquarius. Also, because some astrologers consider Saturn and Mars to be malefic (and connected in some form), it only made sense for astrologers to give the status of the "fall" to Aries, and free Leo of being seen as such. Additionally did this, because Libra is fitting in being exhalted with Saturn, for Libra is associated with justice and fairness.

Some astrologers still believe Saturn in Leo has issues, esp. because its associated with certain politicans and leaders. However, the main issue with Saturn in Leo -- if the creative outlet is expressed, if the individual can have some element of control over their creative expression, can be fine.

Personally, I believe we give Saturn too bad of a rap at times. Yes, he can be an asshole. Yes, these can be severe energies which are stressful. Nobody likes having limitations imposed on them. But they do like some form of foundation around them, or else they'd be completely lost, and while saturn may not be optimistic, it can be predictable, and I'll tell ya, its the one planet you can always count on, making his presence known.
