Here are some of the photos from my vacation to Vermont (which included side trips to New Hampshire and Boston.) Ethan, Jacqui, and I had a great time over all. The main purpose was for Jaqcqui's brother Josh's high school graduation. However, it is also probably the last time we will visit Vermont before Jacqui's mom moves away and Jacqui loses her Vermont anchor. Her brother is going off to Norwich. This was also the first time she saw her step-dad since he and her mum split, so there was also some stress and sadness.
On a lighter note, we brought Jacqui's kayak back to Wisconsin and I am really excited about that. I got to add two more states to my traveled-to list (Connecticut and Massachusetts.) I rode my first subway. Technically saw the ocean. (It was foggy and across a bay.) All in all, I hope Jacquelyn lands a job in New England somewhere. The landscape is just amazing - even though I was glad to get home, I was kind of sad looking out at boring-flat-Wisconsin. Anyway, here's some prettiness. More will get posted in
jackart later on.

While it was 90+ degrees in Wisconsin, it was 65-70 and sporadically raining the whole time we were in New England.

See?

These pictures are in no particular order. Boston, on the Charlestown Bridge.

This is the giant turtle at the New England Aquarium, which was awesome.

Ever since I was a kid, I LOVE orange tunnels in big cities.

The Aquarium had a LOT of penguins.

Jacquelyn, Ethan, Jillian (Jacqui's little sister), and I walked a big chunk of The Freedom Trail. Boston was just an amazing city. The age and history was - ah, I don't even have the words at the moment.

We went to Hanover, NH a few times and walked around Dartmouth a bit.

This is of the Chicago Skyway on the way home. We managed to hit Chicago at rushhour and it took almost 3 hours before we were free of it.

Sharks are friends, not food!

I forget what building this was. I should have taken notes.

Seahorses!

I took a lot of pictures while driving. The clouds in the mountains are crazy after it rains.

On our way out of Boston, we saw a bunch of people playing in this fountain with a bouncy-ball.

Hey Paul Revere! What did y9ou say, your in-laws are coming?

Josh graduates! One of the teachers gave a great speech and talked about the finite versus the infinite. I wish I'd had a teacher like that :P

Jillian in a tiny door in Boston.

Jacqui kisses a fish in City Square.

Green things!

If I remember right, that's the Bunker Hill memorial? I like this photo because the scale makes the obelisk the same size as street posts :P

I forget who this guy is.

This is the same square new Paul Revere's statue.

Jacqui, Jillian, and Ethan at Paul Revere's house.

I thought this was a pretty funny building.

Horses!

Drydock next to the USS Constitution.

A squirrel eating a muffin paper at Dartmouth.

Another Dartmouth picture.

Ethan and anchor near the Constitution.

Boston!

Can I just tell you how much I love alleys and tiny streets in cities that were built before cars?

Ethan pretending to drink a bottle of malt vinegar. I don't think he meant it to look like he was drunk.

Ethan and Jillian. We had lunch at Legal Seafood in Boston, which was pretty good. I had Old Salt Ale and fresh seafood. OMG, people.

Boston, some more.

We took the subway to Chinatown.

Stingray!

I like taking pictures of industrial buildings. This one is in south Chicago.

The capital of Vermont!

Imitation is the sincerest form of mockery.

This is the lobby of 75 State St. in Boston. We parked in their basement.
Ta-dah!

ethan is cute as a cutey-thing in those pics!
and I love the pic of your four feet on the freedom trail. I think it would be "more symbolic" if the feet were pointing out instead of in - but significantly harder to point and click the camera, then...
:P
