I'm tempted just in case some of you don't much care for the photos, which I've been posting a lot of lately. I'm a bit conflicted because I tried this with jackstaxi with limited success - mostly because I rarely update it. Harumph. Whadda y'all think?

You don't overwhelm with them, you keep things behind a cut, and I actually enjoy them - it's not like I find them annoying.

I mean, it's no Twitter, that's for sure!

I say your life is your life, no need to overly compartmentalize. Write and post about all of it- Taxi stories, photos, road trips, etc.!

I enjoy jackstaxi, but I've come to feel that too much compartmentalization of journal content isn't really called for.

Unless there's a pressing need for one journal to be a particular political soap box (you know, Vegans for a Leather-Free America) or if its a matter of privacy to discuss certain issues (I know some people in the kink community have entirely separate journals for their kink lives), leave it all in one place; all those things say something about the author -- whatever the media is.

I don't know. kandeart_comm isn't working so well, but a lot of htat is probably because I never update it. Having a separate journal is something that seems a lot cooler than it is, generally...

But in general, I think as it is with jackstaxi and kandeart, that half of the appeal of the project was its attachment to our already well-developed personalities. Extracting that, it loses some appeal? As if your whole journal has been a very long Artist Statement that allows viewers to connect and understand you.

I agree about jackstaxi and kandeart. They're good ideas in theory but since we don't update often and they're kind of removed from our "following" they're probably not as compelling.

I really like having them here; it's all facets of you and I don't think it's necessary to break off each piece and give it its own home.

Not only that but you're a bona fide smart poster, which means you don't put up giganto ugly things with more than a couple photos outside a cut and all that.
