It is late.

I bicycled 40 miles in the last four days.

Anyone want to buy a television or an Xbox?

I turn in my last papers and take my last final of the semester tomorrow.

Macroeconomics.  This time in history was the best possible time to take that class.

I think I may take a photography class in the fall.

My final anthropology paper was comparing initiation rituals between the Doko of Ethipoia, the Tamang of Nepal, and  the United States of America.

Old/modern ideologies are on the way out.  Postmodernism is too fluid and subjective.

I don't see sweeping movements with great leaders anymore.

Every man and woman is a star.

What is the difference between belief and meaning?

How are they created and justified?

At what point do words fail and you smile instead with a parable?

In other news:

My wireless USB mouse broke.

This makes me a sad camper.

Good night.

I think it's emblematic that post-modernists did'nt even come up with a name. They're just post someone else's movement (whaich was pretty imaginitlvely named to begin with).

That anthro paper sounds awesome.

It's a natural progression from traditional/premodern to modern and now postmodern. But what is after postmodern?!!!!

Well...post postmodern. Things like Curtis White and David Foster Wallace, who use(d) postmodern techniques but employ a sort of hypersincerity. The problem with postmodernism is nobody is accountable and everything is safe; you can always dodge emotion with a wink. Etc. Pomo is more concerned with form and manipulations than they are in humanity ; popomo is a sort of injection of humanity in that manipulation. blah blah blah.

Congrats on all the biking, sounds like you're really making an effort. : )

I would be excited if you took photo, I bet you would learn a lot and it would make your work more developed. You're already good but you could be scary good.

Eh, it's no effort - I just had to wait until the weather got nice enough :P I can tell I'm out of shape though (since I missed half of bike season last year because of the HEART) cuz DAMN this shits HARD!

I hope I can get into the class. Jacqui's dad gave her his old film camera (a really nice one) so I'm hoping that class will teach me to use it (and then by proxy, all cameras) and I will be able to do on purpose all the things I do now by trial-and-error and accident :P

Yeah, that LONG receiver I had to plug in kept getting bumped and moved and it finally broke :( That's $20 in the toilet. Now I have to dig out my extra corded USB mouse :P

Yeah, that's the danger of those things - they're easy to break. :(

It's a good thing you have a corded mouse, though - your trackpad sucks!

It's better than no trackpad at all! Wait, no it's not.

Your trackpad is WORSE than having none at all! I'd rather have a ROLLERBALL mouse than your trackpad. :P

I used to LOVE rollerballs!
