Iraq's prime minister, Nuri al-Maliki, tried to block President Bush when a man threw his shoes at the president during a news conference in Baghdad on Sunday.

I was actually quite impressed with Bush's reaction time. The thing I thought of was when that guy throws the skiball back at Ben Affleck and Joey Lauren Adams in Chasing Amy and they both dodge it.

It maybe would have been funny to see him get beaned in the face though. But probably that would have resulted in a nuclear war or something. Anyhow; that dude ruined his life by doing that, and didn't even hit him.

I have only thrown a shoe once, after a coffee with Bailey's and several shots of vodka, this being the night we discovered I was allergic to Vodka, and I told the guy that he was cursed and that he would live a life alone and die unloved, for being such a heartless disrespectful prick and being so cruel to women.

So.....almost the same thing.
