Update!

jackshoegazer is out of surgery, which was a "text-book operation" according to the surgeon. He is in intensive care, on a lot of drugs and oxygen, but they were able to get the breathing tube out in the OR so he should be out of ICU tomorrow. He's experiencing quite a bit of pain and the meds aren't helping much, so your continued thoughts, prayers (he's rather fond of Ganesha, Remover of Obstacles), long-distance Reiki, and general well-wishings are all greatly appreciated.

Feel free to send flowers, cards, etc. care of Jeremy Parker to the Intermountain Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. He doesn't have a room number yet, but I'm sure they'll get there. Flowers and immediate-delivery items should probably wait until Wednesday, to make sure he's out of ICU. I'll post a room number as soon as he has one.

You can use the hospital gift shop to send flowers or gifts at (801) 507-5130, or send him a message which the nurses will print out and deliver to him at this site.

That's so great to hear that he's through the perilous part and that he did so well. I imagine the pain meds should be come more effective as things start to mend over the next 24 hours.
