1. will you give me some money? No, sorry, I don't have any myself. If I did, then I would. If I win the lottery or something, I'll buy you and Brian a house in France.
2. will you change your schedule so we work together sometimes again? I just changed it, so probably not.
3. will you ever let me read your book? Yes, as soon as I'm done with the current edit that I'm doing.
4. how much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? As much as he fucking wants. Or until his teeth hurt, whichever comes first.
5. must you always be a silly bugger? Silly, yes. Bugger, no.

1. What exactly is this job that invovles "speaking" and staying up all night?

2. If I had asked you at 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and now what you wanted to be when you grew up, what would you have said?

3. Cake or pie?

4. If you had to spend a year alone in the wilderness, where would you go?

5. Do you have any interesting body art modifications?

(C) Maybe later. I like to pace myself with memes. :)

I <3 Huckabees was wonderful. Definitely on my to-own list. The other two suggestions have been added to my list of cool shiet :)

(B)
1. What exactly is this job that invovles "speaking" and staying up all night?

I'm currently doing tele-relay for the deaf. I process TTY phone calls for the deaf and hard of hearing. Deaf people type to me and tell me who to call and I read exactly what they type to whoever they call. I must read with proper emotion and inflection, so basically I act all night. I also have to type the speaking-person's responses back to the deaf person, so i can type pretty fast.

2. If I had asked you at 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and now what you wanted to be when you grew up, what would you have said?

5- Spiderman
10- Cartoonist
15- Writer/Artist
20- Graphic Designer
25- Esoteric Shaman Psychologist
27- A Writer. Plain and Simple.

3. Cake or pie?

Oooh.. that's a tough one, and in a situation where both choices seem correct, I will say BOTH. But in general, pie wins out, though, cheesecake... mmmmmmm :)

4. If you had to spend a year alone in the wilderness, where would you go?

pacific Northwest... Redwoods.. I've always been draw to there even though I've never been there. I have dreams and visions of the place but I've never been futher west than Iowa :(

5. Do you have any interesting body art modifications?

I have a tattoo on my back.. That "illuminati" sunbusrt/triangle icon I have is on my back just below my neck.

(C) Maybe later. I like to pace myself with memes. :)

Okay, but I reserve the right to meme you with this regardless whether you publicly post it or not! :D

An elaboration on number 5....

Here's a better picture of the tattooo... (http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y19/fnord777/tattoooback.jpg) and here's the same picture with an idea for another tattoo (http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y19/fnord777/newtat.jpg) that I've been contemplating..

Oooh, very nice indeed. I particularly like the wings. I can almost see them as sort of Quetzl-feathered. I've been strongly considering getting inked when I graduate and move out to wisconsin- some kind of alchemical symbol or celtic knotwork animal (a tradition I've always identified closely with). I've been thinking about it for years, but I finally feel like the time is approaching. I wish I could draw, but alas! my artistic talents are limited to music, the stage, and the pen. The closest I get is with pottery- anything involving drawing or painting eludes me.

Well, maybe I can be of service... my drawing skills (http://parkerj.esmartdesign.com/draw/page1.htm) are far from mediocre :)

I just read my guestbook... thanks for the compliments :) When you have a solid idea(s) let me know... maybe when you get to Madison we can meet up for a drink, complain about our step-mothers and design your tattoo :)

(A) First, recommend to me:
1. a movie: A Life Less Ordinary (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119535/)
2. a book: The Star Thrower by Loren Eiseley (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0156849097/qid=1114278300/sr=8-1/ref=pd_csp_1/104-4486404-6229529?v=glance&s=books&n=507846)
3. a musical artist, song, or album: Johnny Cash's rendition of NIN's "Hurt" is beautiful and haunting.

(B) I want everyone who reads this to ask me five questions, no more, no less. Ask me anything you want.
1. What do you want to do when you're all finished with school?
2. Do you have any interesting body art modifications??
3. When can I see a picture of you? :)
4. Youth for your entire life or eternal life?
5. What is your closest brush with death?

From: [identity profile] antarcticlust.livejournal.com
(A) Damn, I've seen A (loved it) and own C (Jonnhy Cash is the man- have you heard any of his other covers?), but B is definitely on the list.

(B)

1. I want to teach (as a research professor) and write (anything, really, I just haven't felt "ready" yet), and would someday like to be a mother.
2. Does the 4" scar to the left (my right) of my belly button count?
3. There's one posted on my lj about a week or so ago, and it can also be found on my very half-assed myspace site (www.myspace.com/glaciergirl). I was testing out different forums for a personal website, and haven't done much with this other than add a whopping 2 pictures of myself. :)
4. Youth for my entire life if only in my mind and attitute- mental decreptitude scares the living shit out of me. I'll be happy when I'm done with this lesson and can move on.
5. I was building cedar log cabin lean-to's on Knight Island in Lake Champlain (a teeny clothing-optional state park that you have to boat to) and was sitting 15ft up on one of the walls pony-style, gripping with my thighs. The very large and heavy roof beam was being hoisted up and my job was to "catch" it and guide it into its notch. The branch we were using as a pully broke and the beam (we're talking HUGE) swung at my head and would have knocked me off the roof if I hadn't somehow ducked to the side, almost falling off, and catching myself, danging, off the side of the wall.

If you'd like, I'll send you the used, warped and musty copy of The Star Thrower I have.

1) That's terrific. If you had asked what I wanted to be when I was 8 or 9, I would have said a social studies/geography teacher :p
2) Sure that counts. If I ask why you have a 4" scar, will I get an answer?
3) Ooh, I just friended you through MySpace.. I maintain my MySpace page as well as my LiveJournal. (More pictures!) P.S. You're cute by the way :)
4) I would take youth as well. I would lean more towards youth in body, the mind I don't have a problem with, I'm constantly updating and learning. I could never get old mentally :P
5) WOW. Mine are all car-accident related, which probably means I should be a hell of a lot more careful.

Oh, and I hereby request an addendum question...
6) How hot do you like your showers?

Date: 2005-04-23 07:27 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] antarcticlust.livejournal.com
As hot as I can stand, and good water pressure is key.

Which means I get a question:

6) Red wine or white?

Date: 2005-04-23 07:31 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] jackshoegazer.livejournal.com
OMG! Your shower answer is almost word for word what mine would be!

Oooh.. It, of course, depends on the meal, but I always lean toward red. It took me a while to acclimate myself to white, but I've finally done it!

There are some really decent Australian whites right now that are surprisingly cheap- like Yellowtail (yum!). But if it's just for fun, or conversation, I'm a red kinda girl myself.

I never really liked wine until I discovered YELLOWTAIL!! That's like my favorite wine right now! But yes, I'm definitely more of a red man :)
