I stole this post format.
Jun. 28th, 2008 08:39 amREADING: The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism by Naomi Klein. It's been very slow going because it is so infuriating and heartbreaking. Every page-and-a-half there are major atrocities caused by calous greedheads. Milton Friedman, as I've said before, can eat a rotten rhino scrotum.
WEARING: Shorts and a t-shirt. It's summer, what else is there?
DESIGNING: A poster for Epic Theatre for their production of The Brothers Grimm Spectacularthon, which is all 209 Brothers Grimm fairy tales in the span of an hour and a half. They need it by Monday, so guess what I'm doing all day?
WATCHING: The first two episodes of The Tudors last night with Jacqui and
brdgt. It's pretty good. Gratuitous sex coupled with political intrigue and the occasional sword fight or brutal murder. What's not to like?
PLANNING: To take Ethan to his swim lesson in a few minutes, work on said poster, then go to a grill-out at
brdgt's in the evening.
FRETTING: Over my surgery. I'm still waiting to hear back from my insurance about coverage and whether or not they will cover travel expenses, especially now that I find out that while I'll be in the hospital for 5 to 7 days, my doctor says that most people need several more days, some as much as a week, before they feel strong enough to get on an airplane, which means I may have to stay at a hotel or something for a few more days. Hence, it is very important that my insurance cover this, else I may have to reschedule or I'll have to beg my parents for help, which I loathe to do. See, fretting.
