An update from the taxi stand.

Another day of work done and I am sitting in the Driver's Room, wasting time until I have to catch a bus downtown. Today was an odd day and the theme seemed to be People Suggesting Media. An Apple employee picking up his car encouraged me to see The Waking Life, a Linklater film. A girl going to the mall to meet a friend for dinner suggested I check out a band named Fink, which she says, is a guy from the UK, just him and his guitar, which is right up my alley these days.
Tonight I'm going to the High Noon to catch the Little Blue Crunchy Things reunion show. I went to a lot of their shows in the mid-to-late 90s. The members have all moved on to other projects, the most notable; the bassist, Ken Fitzsimmons went on to form The Kissers. My friend and former roommate Brian called me up and asked me to come and thus I am. Yes, dear reader, your favorite hermit is going to make a rare public appearance. I'll enjoy some nostalgic music and, as the youngins say, "get my drink on."
Tomorrow, I may be learning the Fine Art of Screenprinting from
strangedasein, but not entirely sure yet. Otherwise, I have a lot of reading for sociology to get caught up on and a three-page writing assignment for my English class to do. Shouldn't take too long, as I've been in the mood to write lately, so I'd best suck it up while I can. Reading Hunter Thompson seems to bring that out so I'll have to remember when I'm stuck to give him a read. I'm reading his letters from 1968 to 1976, his heyday, and it's a pretty insane autobiography.
Ah, the lovely Madison Transit System calls!
