In Memory of Hunger...
May. 30th, 2005 08:47 pmAh, the quintessential Memorial Day. Which means I had to put my diet on hold for a day. Brats, sausages, burgers, potatoes in a hundred varieties, pasta salad, brats cooked in Newcastle, water chestnuts wrapped in bacon in Asian chili sauce, bruschetta, Vidalia onion casserole, Asiago cheese bread and oil, and a monstrous concoction guaranteed to brutally murder, dismember, and dispose of any diet, the infamous Death By Chocolate, which had so many various unhealthy and thereby scrumptiously yummy and decadent ingredients I can't even begin to list them without fear of conjuring the Sugar Fat & Carb Demon of Argalzantom. I've eaten three or four days worth of food and drank an equal amount of Newcastle and Leine's Honey Weiss. These massive digestive festive feast feats were accomplished on a mind-bending two hours of sleep and in full witness of most of my equally engorged friends. I am hardcore. \m/ I thank those whom Memorial Day is in memoriam of, for without them, I might be at work and weigh seven pound less.
