How fancy that would be. My only definitive past life "memories" have involved being a tibetan monk and a young hindu woman. In addition to these I must add that the language of sanskrit came to me absurdly easily, and my yoga practice goes back to early childhood without any external encouragement to speak of, but that is a complicated tale. Most tantric philosophy and sacred texts of both hindu and buddhist ilk strike me as being a reminder of previously mastered information even when absorbing material that should be new, unfamiliar, or that which is notoriously difficult to grasp. Culturally, while I should have undergone a shock adjusting to life in India, the shock instead came each time in adjusting to being back in the US. I have strong feelings of attachment to all things from the ancient middle east as well. I also have had an inexplicable anglophile streak since early childhood that seems suspicious. Of course, these other attachments may be tendencies toward attraction that have no cause in past lives at all but simply appeal to aspects of my own intrinsic nature. But what is a life if it isn't an expression of some aspect of one's intrinsic nature? Wouldn't it be lovely if things were that simple. ;-) Who knows? *shrugs* How about you? Any impressions or memories?
