Friday Night Examination

Hello.
I spent the night at a bar between Cambridge and Fort Atkinson watching my roommate's band play their first show ever. They're pretty good. Everyone at the show received them well and they've got the OK from the tavern owners to come back and play shows whenever they like.
I drank from the moment I arrived 'til the moment we left. Needless to say, I got pretty sloshed. Hell, I'm still pretty sloshed. I could use some company. Anyone wanna come cuddle?
On a side note, I noticed that the only attractive females at the show were the girlfriends of the band members. I suppose it's best I'm not tempted to flirt; my friends tell me I do it all the time. I thought I was just being nice.
When the final set was over, a audience member and a band member were jamming with the guitar and bass and I went up and started rambling into the microphone, and it was actually pretty good. I also did the mic check before the show, so I got to do a bit of an impromptu stand-up comedy session before the show, which was received most enthusiastically. The best was my truck joke, where I requested over the mic, "Hey, ask me if I'm a truck." to which 87% of the bar said, "Are you a truck?" and I said, "NO, I'M NOT A TRUCK!" It received the appropriate amount of laughs, giggles and groans.
All this talking on a mic to an assembly of people has reignited my public speaking bug. I hope I can continue to find an outlet for it. I may have to start frequenting open mics again.
Alright, dear reader, I'm going to bed. I hope you all had a lovely Friday night and Saturday morning.
Did you know 'alright' isn't a word? It's supposed to be 'all right'. The same goes for 'alot', that's two words too, 'a lot'. Just thought you'd like to know.
