Retired Ravers

I think it's quite funny that Ravers retire. Not that they stop going to raves, but that it's called 'retiring'. Like it was a job or something, a governmental post that had to be filled.

I know all about it.

I, too, am a retired Raver.

People don't say, "I'm a retired Punk." or "I was Emo, but I retired."

But Ravers, Ravers retire.

I salute retired ravers everywhere and their many hours of dedicated service to the music, the vibe and the dancing, oh my, the hours and hours of dancing!

Now, like the WWII vets, you can all get together in your old age and redye your hair and wear the old clothes with too many pockets and brush the dust off your pacifiers and strut through the 4th of July parades tossing dum-dums and sweet-tarts to the kiddies.

PS I think you look cuter without the pink hair anyhow. ;)

OOh, you gave me a great idea for a Halloween costume: Serior Citizen Raver. White wig, wrinkles, a shuffling gait and cane and really BIG pants!

Most of the punk and goth kids become "postpunk" and "postgoth".

Emo kids. I don't know what you call them when they become ex's.
