I am disappointed by the low quality of bathroom graffiti. Today's graf included a crude Soviet hammer & sickle, a "Fuck the Police (and Gang Control)", "Dyslexics UNTIE!" which I've seen on t-shirts, and "VAGINA" in a poor, childish scrawl. Come on, people!

Nothing can beat the scrawls on the bathroom wall I saw in a bar while I was visiting Sydney, Australia: a cartoonish picture of a dead squid (with X's for eyes) and "GOODBYE MR. BOJANGLES" written next to it.

When I was in high school, I had a little library of enigmatic literary quotations that I liked to write in bathroom stalls and other places where I had the opportunity for a little graffiti. It was pretty pretentious, but so was I at that time in my life...

That's kind of awesome, actually.
