ok, i am now officially hungry as hell! my lunch was a gondola (also known as a 'pide' in turkish)--pizza dough wrapped around a thin layer of alfredo topped with chicken i marinated in pesto and lemon juice before i grilled it, and that topped with grilled: red peppers, portabello mushrooms, onions and lightly wilted spinach. i put a layer of provolone over that and folded it up open-faced inside the dough. brushed the whole thing with beaten egg, poured the rest of the egg inside, and then baked the whole thing in our wood-fired oven. we had sliced tomatoes drizzled with olive oil and sprinkled with fresh oregano on the side. nom nom nom. yours sounds so fucking good though!!!! i picked up some avocados and bacon for cobb salad for supper tomorrow. mmmmmm <3
