Today, I handed in the marathon that was my 15-page paper on single-payer health care. I was going to post it like I did my Woodrow Wilson one (not that anyone read it) but it was too large as a post and it's not really worth the energy to split it up and post it in parts. I wish I could say I was done with the whole miserable business, but I still have to compress it down to a ten minute presentation for Friday. Did I mention this week is insane?

Monday: 15-page paper due. Have to finish photography final project. Last communications class; must give 3-minute speech, answering horrible interview questions like "What do you not want me to know?"

Tuesday: Working 6:45am to 4:30pm; Last history class until 8:30pm; must begin studying for giant multi-essay final.

Wednesday: Final critique of two projects in photography; must make power point health care presentation and write 3-page English final.

Thursday: Work 6:45am to 5pm; finish anything I didn't finish earlier in the week.

Friday: 10-minute presentation in English; Gallery Night in the photo lab.

Saturday: Study all day for History final. Seriously. 70 short essay terms plus 2 large, multi-page essays.

Sunday: Work 7:45 to 6pm; pick up photos from gallery.

I want to breathe but don't think I'll have time until next week Wednesday. Oh yeah, and the car is being repaired from the tree damage. Did I not mention that? A tree branch fell on the Subaru the other day and dented the roof and passenger door. The car will be back in about a week. I had to drop it off at the autobody place this morning before getting a ride back to the house so I could leave immediately and bike to class.

I'm used to being busy, but I feel really stressed and vulnerable right now. And I'm really poor at the moment, so I'm especially excited for textbook buyback, which starts next week.

I know, too long, didn't read. That's three sentences I started with "I." Oh well. Here, have some random photos:

This is at the airport, which is on International Ln.

This bird was looking for food in a yard on Orchard St.

This girl was sitting on a rock on Langdon St.

This is Lake Mendota, as seen from the end of Lake St.

This is a sewer drain, also on International Ln.

These are clouds. They are in the sky, and not on any particular street. Seriously, look up.

This is my eyeball, also not on any particular street.

And this is me, in my bathroom. You don't need to know what street this is on.

So, at this point I'm just writing to keep writing. I'm feeling sort of awesome and fragmented all at the same time. My bike ride to school was invigorating instead of exhausting.

I just started reading Dennis Lehane's The Given Day which is really good so far. I have a feeling I'm going to like Lehane in general - he's got the Irving/King/Burgess excessive detail-thing quite well and I love it.

Anyway, I am going to go use my punch card for a free latte before I go to my communications class, which I despise. Have a lovely day, dear readers!
