What did YOU do today?

I had an actual day off with absolutely nothing that I absolutely *had* to do. Ethan is camping with his mum and Jacquelyn has been at Wiscon all day. I made turkey & pepperjack omelets for breakfast and drove Jacqui downtown.  Afterward, I did nothing really.  Caught up on ICONOMICON! comments, and wasted the day watching television.  I know, I know, YOU DON'T HAVE TV!  But I used the internet!  I watched some Daily Show and the Colbert Report, watched a few episodes of MythBusters, some Jim Gaffigan.  I even tried to give the original Battlestar Galactica a shot, but OH MAN that show sucked.

This is a direct affront to my previous post, but I did what only my privileged Western lifestyle can provide - absolutely nothing of value.  And it was nice.  Thank the Powers That Be that I have a job because HOLY SHIT this would get BORING.  Though, after about a day and a half of this, I'd be so mindnumbingly vacant.  No wonder I wrote a book the last time I was unemployed.

I woke up to breakfast in bed, hung out with the hubby for a bit, talked to my friends in Vienna via Skype, and took myself a nap. It's been fabulous! I couldn't do this every day, but it's been a lovely saturday.

woke up, watched some old Doctor Who, took a shower, ate breakfast/lunch, watched some more Who, went to work, came home, and now here I be :)

We took the train one city over- which in Texas means it's almost an hour on the train to get there!

We had a great day in a city we rarely visit, I took some photos, and now we're home and eating stuffed eggplant for dinner.
