a friend of mine was hit on his bike by a guy on a motorcyle about a month ago. His face broke the fall, he broke nearly every bone in his face, and atm his jaw is still wired shut.
this is horrible. there really are no other words.
At first I thought it wasn't real, hence the title of the post. I thought it was photoshopped. I can't believe someone was right there to get that picture right when it happened.
My first reaction is, naturally, to think that this must be photoshopped. It's so amazing to see stuff like that. Not a good amazing. How the heck does someone run in to a group of bikers? Goodness! ):
Someone ought to take the driver of that car out back and smack the living shit out of him or her. Course, I'm a little extra-pissed at drunk drivers right now.
I know, right? At first it looks like a scene in a movie (no bikers were harmed int he making of this film) but then (OMG) it sets in... this is real. Eeek. I shouldn't laugh. Ooops.
It took me a moment to figure out what I was looking at - honestly, my first impression was that a car had run straight into a horse and wagon, because rearing horses are the only thing that I could come up with off the top of my head that are that tall.
I can understand having a photog there and ready - he/she must have been on scene to take pictures of the race.
i bet there were a couple cutthroat racers who were still in it to win it, happy for the deus ex machina. the guy in green, for example. he almost definitely won.
What would we laugh at that? That's horrifying. Why it's so difficult for some people to confine their drinking to a non-driving area is something I will never understand.
Some people laugh before they realize exactly what's going on there.
I don't really understand drunk drivers. Or sleeping drivers. I fell asleep driving once - nothing happened, luckily - but I will never drive tired again. Or drunk, not that I ever did :P
