I love popculture eating itself, novelty breeding novelty. I mean, you have to understand at least three different films, quotes and actor/character crossovers just to get this "joke" - a sort of metajoke.

When I was a kid, I had an R2D2 toy that had a translucent blue globey thing on the side, and I used to stare into it and think I could see another dinemsion.

Also, I love that for a while it will look like we've been invaded by an R2D2 army.

If only R2 was a portal to another dimension!
