I wanna get slain.
Jul. 22nd, 2011 07:37 pmEthan has gone back to his mother's and Jacquelyn is in Switzerland for a conference. Thus, Senior Shoegazer is at home alone. What can he do to pass the time?
He is working on a book cover design! It is going swimmingly. I'll show it to you when I'm done.
I'm going to be participating in the annual art show for my employer. I've done it the past two years and this makes three. We're getting a write-up in the Wisconsin State Journal and some of my photography will be in the paper.
Here's the flyer I made for the event:

If you're in Madison, you should go. And buy my prints, which are also available at
jackart . I need a better way to display them.
I just finished Day One of Week Six of the Couch-to-5k program. That's a lot of running. I've been running and biking and weight-lifting and whatnot since May and I've lost a whopping four pounds.

I love the Milwaukee Public Library.
Jacquelyn and I went to her grandfather's 100th Birthday in the Upper Peninsula last weekend. I haven't edited the pictures yet. Other than this self-portrait in the hotel bathroom:

I didn't get a lot of photography done. Or rather I did, but it was mostly at the birthday party, which was also a de facto family reunion. I did see a bear run across a road though. That was cool.
Tomorrow, I'm getting together with a couple friends and I'm going to learn how to make beer. Who knows, maybe I'll take up home-brewing and add another odd skill to jack-of-all-trades repertoire.
Okay, back to the graphics. I'm working!
