Somehow, I've managed to get this far in my life without hearing The Magnetic Fields's Too Drunk To Dream which is hilarious and lovely.
I've finished what may possibly be my last non-game day Saturday of the year. After the next and final game, I will switch back to Sundays, which is nice, because it's almost the semester mark anyway.
Today was odd. I took a Gryffindor to a theatre. I drove some poor people to the hospital. I took a few people to the airport who were going home for Thanksgiving. As usual, at least one person said they tipped me extra well because of the nice conversation. Aww.
We're going out to Colorado next week for Thanksgiving at Jacquelyn's dad's place. It will also be the first time we get to meet Jacquelyn's first nephew, Zen, who was just born a couple months ago. One of the cutest babies I've ever seen photos of. He's a total ham for the camera.
I desperately need a haircut but can't afford one right now. I'm thinking of taking the buzzers to my head again.
I am currently at work waiting for Jacquelyn to pick me up. Spanikopita for dinner and then cupcakes and drinks with some friends.
I've been having a ton of writing ideas lately. Perhaps part of it is being in a lit class, but part of it is autumn. Around this time of year I do my best and clearest thinking. First and foremost is my thinly-veiled autobiographical novel about my time in Hartsville, Indiana. My heaviest imprinting, both good and bad, was done during those two-to-three years. I'm even thinking of going back there to take some photographs, drum up the memories, angels, and demons in my mind.
Good night, all.
