Arthur Dent could never get the hang of Thursdays.  I can and have.

Thursdays are my favorite day of the week this semester: I don't have class until 1pm, so I can sleep in if I so choose (I usually don't so choose, but the option is lovely) and then I only have my two favorite classes, photography and weight training.  (I've lost eight pounds since the beginning of the semester.) I'm done with all obligations by 5:30pm and the rest of my evening is free.

For instance, this evening, Jacquelyn and I will be attending a lecture by the legendary Michael Pollan (In Defense of Food, Omnivore's Dilema, et cetera...)  It should be great.  I'm going to bring the (not so) wee lad as well.  Apparently there will be protesters, a bunch of bussed-in-by-agribusiness astroturfers wearing In Defense of Farmers shirts.  Apparently it is anti-farmer to say that maaaayyybe putting corn syrup in everything and stuffing animals full of antibiotics aren't such great ideas and that maaaaayybe there is a more intelligent, more sustainable, and healthier relationship we could have with food.

The promoters I did that spacey flyer for were so impressed, they've agreed to hire me exclusively for all of their events.  Which is nice.  Four or five events per year, plus club nights.  The next one is for a December 19th party, which they want to get started on right away.  Then there's the huge NYE event.

Another friend saw my work and is going to contact me about doing some adverts for comic book events.  And I'd given up on a graphics career.  Though, the only reason I'm getting any work is because I work cheap.  I'm not actually qualified to do any of this professionally.

Huh.
