You don't know how big your head is.

Some of you expressed interest in reading this paper when it was finished, so I'm going to post it, locked of course.  It's not as good as I imagined, but then, I had to keep it around five pages, so I couldn't be as grand and all-encompassing as I had wanted.  Enjoy a peek into my brain.

When I was young, I never felt nostalgia.

While hunting for a CD of last year's Christmas music, Jacquelyn unwittingly uncovered a CD of pictures my Uncle Rick had scanned for me several years ago.  My family were never big on photographs and the few that existed burned up with my mother's apartment when i was very young.  Maybe that's why I'm so photo-obsessed now, who knows.  Anyway, here is a little photographic glimpse into my childhood.

Captain Sillywhiskers, a.k.a. Mighty King Figaro

Our cat Figaro is very sick.  He has been slowly losing weight over the past year+ and we have not been able to find the source.  Today, he kept falling down because his back legs have gotten very weak.  Jacquelyn has him at the vet right now and they''re doing a big panel of blood and urine tests and x-rays.  Please pray or send vibes or make offerings to the science gods or petition whatever you atheists do in hard times for Figaro's health.  We are much hoping they can find out what's wrong and that it is curable or at least manageable.  He is the most handsome and intelligent cat and a vital member of our family.
