Think about the power unleashed when we split an atom.  Every atom contains forces so powerful, just waiting, itching to be released.  Now, think of how many atoms make up just your body.  Don't you see how powerful we are, how much energy we're walking around with every moment of our lives?

Bodies are weird, but I'm glad we have them.

I stumbled upon an Excel file wherein I was tracking my weight last year. I am now at 232, which is the most I've ever weighed. This time last year, I was at 217. At the end of the biking season last fall, I was down to 205, which means this is the fattest winter I've ever had, gaining almost 30 pounds. I can see it, I can feel it. I am not a happy camper.

In other news, Ethan is now taller than Jacquelyn. We measured him; he's 5'10" now. That's the same height as my dad and only four inches shorter than me.  I had to teach him how to shave a couple weeks ago because the peach-fuzz on his upper lip was getting out of hand. Voice-cracking is, I'm sure, right around the corner. He turns 13 this summer. It's a cliché, but where does the time go?
