I once ran a four minute mile.

Today was, I believe, my busiest day off ever.

The day started as usual with an early morning getting Ethan up and ready for school.

I took a bus uptown for my doctor's appointment at 10:30 and got stabbed with a needle for some blood work. You can all relax, my blood pressure and pulse are great.

Then I walked one point two miles to my haircut appointment but I was early so I stopped at Ancora and got a latte while I read the Onion. I had the usual lively conversation with Stephen, mostly about funny stoners we knew in high school and the new Indiana Jones movie, while he cut my hair, which turned out great as you'll see in photos below.

Then I walked another point nine miles to catch my bus home where I ate a quick lunch of leftover chicken fajitas and stuffed Eva into a cat carrier and waited for a cab to take me to her vet appointment.  It went well, we've got a new angle to tackle her itchy-belly syndrome.

We took a taxi home, and stopped along the way at both the library and the post office.  I am finally home.

Jacquelyn is out at various meetings and dinners tonight so it's boy's night at home.  We did what any self-respecting guys would do - we ordered pizza and are going to watch some movie Jacquelyn won't want to see.  Huzzah!

I played around with Photoshop a bit, specifically textures and anti-retouching.  Thus, here are some recent photos of my new haircut, Ethan, Loki, Eris, and my yet-to-be-named sock monkey.
