Jul. 4th, 2007 06:27 pmI was listening to NPR while I was driving taxi today. There was a feature on poetry written by soldiers in the Iraq war. I didn't expect much, and quite frankly expected it to be bad as I am a poetry snob and supremely picky about it. I was however blown away (no pun intended) by Ryan Alexander's "The Cat." Below, I will post the text and here is a link where you can listen to him read it. I highly advise the latter. It is devastatingly powerful.
