Redneck Couture?
Aug. 21st, 2005 10:06 amI think I have finally coined a phrase or play-on-word rather, that has yet to exist in the American vernacular thus far.
You're aware, of course, of the trend to say the name of the department store Target with a French pronunciation, sort of like Tarjhay. Then I thought, well, as a sort of white-trash equivalent of ghetto-fabulous, people could pronounce trashy like trashay. Like redneck couture.
Come on, say it with me, trashay! As in, "Oh my Buford, those overalls are tré trashay!"
