These are lovely!

They're really sort of the 1950's Tarot, but I didn't name them. I'd like to get them, soley for the fact I love the art style.

I have stolen some and posted to mine with link to you.

My friend [livejournal.com profile] sepheri is an Occult Housewife.

How do I get one?

So would I! (but not that one in this instance, as she is taken).

Sounds like a personals ad:

Hm...would I get to wear a 50's housewife apron embroidered with runes? I have a lovely recipe for solstice honey cakes, too- the kind you hide little things inside and which act like a sort of Celtic fortune cookie.

That's cool. I've had the "norbert losche" tarot deck for about 14 years. I'm not a fan of the Rowe-Waite deck.

I use Crowley's Thoth Deck and get pretty good results with it. Though, it tends to be a trickster and a bit sarcastic.

I've used the Rider-Waite deck for about 11 years now, and I'm so familiar with it that I'm insanely hesitant to use anything else, even though its not as pretty as some other decks I've seen. I've contemplated making a deck with block prints or black-and-white photographs for ages and ages and ages...but it's such a huge undertaking. I'd keep the symbolism the same, as it's very "traditional" and it's always worked really, really well for me, but I'd use my own versions of the imagery.

Of course, I'll never get around to doing this.

There is a chapter in that AngelTech book I showed you about designing your own tarot. Maybe you'll find it handy :)
