Church Uses Harry Potter Books for VBS



(CBN News) - A Pennsylvania church has embraced the Harry Potter books in its vacation Bible school curriculum, and now enrollment has doubled.

Straight from the pages of the book, Saint John's Episcopal Church exposes students to magic and witchcraft, introducing spells and giving flying lessons on broomsticks.

The church does point out that the youngsters get a daily dose of Bible verses in what they call "owl mail."

Some Christians object to the occult messages in the popular novels, but the church's pastor believes Harry Potter's tales of wizardry parallel lessons from the Bible.
