Anniversary

I've been blogging for a month now. It feels quite strange considering how resistant I was to the idea in the first place and how long it took me from my introduction to the blogging community to actually start a journal myself. I thought, who the eff would want to read my daily thoughts? Well the answer is, not that many. It has been an invaluable service to me though. I love the exercise of writing regularly, and it's gotten me more enthused about writing in general. I've also come to the realization of how writing and language edit human experience. I can go back and read my past posts and because I was there at the actual event, I remember much more than what is stated, but the average readers perception of the event has been carefully edited and presented in an incomplete fashion, which leaves the reader with a false sense of actuality. Now apply this to the mass media and think about how much you REALLY know about what is going on in the world and your ability to be well informed and make competent decisions.
