Drink it up, Superman, it's the holidays.
Dec. 10th, 2010 07:42 amI'm fairly uninterested in digital literature, but this is hilarious and worth the watch read. You'll want your sound on and a couple minutes. It's about cunnilingus, so you know, hide from your kids and your boss.
We got our totally secular solstice-derived gift-exchange ritual tree and decorated it last night. Jacquelyn quickly realized that we had a choice... Either the tree could look like it was straight and be unstable and most likely fall over, or it could be stable and look like it's about to tip over. So, we opted for stability (and we didn't like the idea of our tree pretending to be straight. Be yourself, tree!) and now, our tree looks drunk. I kind of wish I had a mannequin arm sticking out of it, holding a whiskey bottle wrapped in a dirty brown paper bag.
Anyway...
I took my last French test of the semester and I dare say, I think I did pretty okay on it. I could be totally wrong. At the end of every test, there's been a section where you have to write a short essay, usually less than 100 words, and this one was probably my worst, but otherwise, yeah, not bad. I've still got an activité orale to do next week, but that's basically it.
Dude... almost a month off from school. Fuck yeah. Of course, I'm doing a ton of graphic work and some photography over break, so it's not much of a break.
I went back through my PayPal account and added up all my photography & design payments and realized I've made something like $2000 in the last 12 months. And I've got a huge payment coming for a logo design and two flyer projects coming yet this month. Where was all this work when I wanted to do this for a living, way back in ye olde 2001? Oh yeah, I sucked back then.
I forgot about one picture left on my camera from the drive home from Colorado. It was at a gas station at sunset, somewhere in Nebraska or Iowa. I don't quite remember, but it's awfully beautiful.
( Awesome sunset plus recent Ethan protrait )
Few things annoy me as much as the Democrats-and-Republicans-are-the-same people. They are not. On social issues one can't make that argument with a straight face. On economic issues, it's arguably a little fuzzier since the whole world seems to have fallen for the supply-side, free-market boondoggle. And anyone who thought they were getting a Progressive president when they voted for Obama obviously didn't do their homework. He may lean that way a little, but when you get a centrist Democrat bipartisan compromiser in with an unbending far-Right that refuses to compromise with anything and pulls out the filibuster wang for every single vote (unprecedented in history), you get governance from center-right. Can we just get Bernie Sanders for president?
Okay, people's it's time for breakfast.
