The Home Photography Experience™ - Day Four

I went to Concert on the Square with Jacquelyn and [personal profile] brdgt.  We met up with [profile] mystickeeper and her boyfriend and a bunch of other people like Jacqui's friend Julia, whose name I will remember (usually I don't) and a bunch of mystickeeper's work friends.   It was a Gershwin night and Rhapsody in Blue was the highlight.  I drank much too much wine and ate triple-creme brie.  It was a great time.  Of course, I am drunk, but hey, that's okay.

My sunburn is peeling, which is gross to most people, but kind of cool for me.

I scheduled my surgery.  I have to be in Utah on July 20th for my surgery prep.  I'm, afraid, but in the way a prisoner is afraid of the end of his sentence.  After seven years of fear, I find I am almost more afraid of freedom.  Granted, in order to get out of my particular prison, I have to subject myself to open heart surgery.  Literally.

Luckily, it seems that you'll be in excellent care. When you have a surgeon who basically has a "specialty" procedure, he does it so routinely that he knows it like the back of his hand.

If you can have your laptop in hospital I'll send you jokes and stories, or funny pictures, etc... knowing you, you'll get restless there right away and be roaming the building causing mischief if you're not properly entertained. ; )

Actually, this procedure is very rare because my particular issue is very rare, like less than 1 in 20 million. My doctor is the son of the man who invented the procedure and basically the only guy in the country that does it. My local vascular doctor said he could technically do it, but figured why not have the inventor do it :)

I'm really hoping that the hospital has wireless so I can keep up/in touch. I can't image going two weeks without LJ, (which is a sign of addiction and I should get help ;)
