So can anyone join that community? Then do you just post your photos? Not much of a photographer, but clear topics might inspire me.

Yup, anybody! Every-other week we suggest new topics then vote on which one to do and then for a week, one a day, take photos of that topic, so yes, your own photos. We have "professional" kinds of photographers and people clicking away with cell phones, so we take everyone. We're a very big tent.
