Books Friends Jobs Ego Beatings

I finished The Divine Invasion and the end made it worth the slogging beginning. It's a very good Gnostic parable set in a very typical sci-fi format. I also finished Skinny Legs and All, and I think it's my favorite Robbins book so far. I'm about half way through that Bukowski book and while I love him, he tends to be quite depressing. He frazzles my aristocratic hairs and shines a massive halogen lamp on the poor past I'd rather forget. Bastard. THE HEART IS A LONELY HUNTER.

My dearest friend and co-author, the other half of the infamous Parker J. Hood, had arrived quite unexpectedly on my doorstep and is staying for a few days. This is a pleasant surprise since he lives nearly 500 miles away and I've only seen him once in the past two years. He's one of the few people who I can be completely myself around and talk about anything that rambles through my skull. Believe it or not, I censor myself profusely around most people. Only those close and dear get the unfiltered Jeremy and those are the clichéd few and far between.

I won't be getting the estimating job any time soon, so I'd best start looking for something else. Oh yeah, there IS nothing else. Fuck a duck. That's gross. No, that's fowl. Ha-ha. Looks like I'd best start sending out my writing. This job thing just isn't my cup of cake, my piece of tea. How does one get a job working for the Weekly World News? I could SO be a journalist for that massively popular publication. Fuck yeah, pay up bitches!

I think I'm going to post a tell-me-what-you-dislike-about-me MEME in the near future. Get your gears chuggin', the ol' brain a churnin' cuz I'm feelin' a bit masochistic. Booyah.
