I saw a very real side of the "pre-existing condition" healthcare aspect when I thought of this: a 20+ year veteran of Company-X decides he wants to switch to working for Company-Y, but he's trapped. Why? He's diabetic, and Company-Y's insurance won't cover him.
Because he's diabetic, he'll work at Company-X for the rest of his life :(
