I basically didn't read anything the first five or six months of this year.  Almost all of these books were read this summer.

how did you enjoy #2??

I loved Hey Nostradamus!; I had read a couple of other books about school shootings and was eager to complete what a friend called "the school-shooting trilogy" [We Need to talk about Kevin and Nineteen Minutes being the others]. Augusten Burroughs I found horribly off-putting; I was appalled by it and I'm not at all the prudish sort. Seems that I can be shocked: who knew?!

How was the other Coupland book you read? I'm trying to decide what work of his to read next.

Have heard good things about Hunger Games.

Love Mary Doria Russell.

Let us know on the Joe Hill...

It's funny how similar our tastes are. I've read your 3, 6, 10 and 11 in the past year, and I have Santa Olivia on the to-read shelf.
