I'm going to sleep now. My surgery is at 7:30am Mountain Standard Time. I will probably be internet-less for the next couple of days, but I'm sure Jacquelyn will post about how the surgery goes. My doctor says I should only be in the ICU for a day, maybe two, before I get moved back to a regular room. I'll update as soon as I can. Thank you, all of you, for your thoughts, prayers, donations, and words of support.

Date: 2008-07-21 03:14 pm (UTC)"Best of luck" makes it sounds a little sketchy - like you're going to Vegas and you may or may not get lucky....which is the life of surgery, I know, but it still doesn't seem right to me.
"Have fun" obviously doesn't work either.
"Everything will work out fine" is a saying that is said more for the speaker than the person who is going through an ordeal.
Hmmmm...
In the end, I guess it's best to say, I'm sending positive energy your way, and I pray/hope/wish/fervently want you to go through this without a hitch and come home well.
...Or should I just command that you'll be well? :o)
Either one works for me.
