I agree. In this day of the 24-hour news cycle, pundits, spin, etc, everything has to be whittled down to a 5 second blurb and it really bothers me that people consider themselves politically savvy because they've memorized all the talking points.

If I want to explain how Bush is a fascist, I'll talk about how fascism has spread in previous times, like creating external enemies, creating gulags, spying on your own people, harass counter-groups, controlling the press, et cetera, all things this Administration has done. Naomi Wolf wrote an article about it in much greater detail. Anyhoo, I agree. I don't care if people have views I disagree with, but it;s their damned tactics that bug me :P
