This is the solution I'd like to see as well, but it's never going to happen. Israel basically has carte blanch with the United States. And that's the whole problem -- their neighbors may be crazy much of the time, but Israel gets crazy too and there's nothing to keep them in check. We give them so much money and weaponry that no one in the Middle East has a chance of going up against them with conventional warfare. Hence all the terrorism.

Personally, I thought we should have broken off all aid to Israel considering what they've done to Lebanon in the past year. And I don't know if you remember, but in the 80s we gave Israel plans to the F-16 Falcon (further bolstering their ridiculous military advantage in the region) and a few years ago we found out that they had sold a lot of the plans to the Chinese! Being a bad neighbor is one thing, but biting the hand that feeds you? If this isn't a case of someone needing to be taught a lesson, I don't know what is.
