You know me, I love the old movies for their own sake, in the same way I love the Chinese films; pacing, aesthetics, and that je ne se quois...I'm not sure what it is about them, even their slightly campy or kitschy or dated feeling is appealing to me. I dislike many, many modern films (i.e. Michael Bay) for their schizophrenic, jarring, nauseating pace and MTV video shooting style.
