Yes. It's kind of a laugh until you cry kind of thing. Speaking of which, I have not yet been able to listen to Pink's "Dear Mr. President" without tears welling up. Amazing song.
Hey! This has nothing to do with the post, but pblblblblb!
Ok, here are my thoughts on couches: At IKEA, the different covers cost different amounts, so you pick a cover/body combo. I know you like soft/squishy, so I thought you might like this:
which is $499. You can also get it in red:
I like the red better. Those are both Ektorps with a different cover.
Then, in other styles that are less cushy:
LUND BJUV, $469 red (they also have a dark forest green)
LUND HOGEN (Beige, also in red or grey), $419
LUND EKON, also in black which would be bad with white-haired Eris, I think, $599 but a little higher quality:
The nice thing about IKEA is that we should be able to get future pieces that match (chairs, loveseats, etc) and we can buy additional covers in case these get ruined/schmarmy/cattified.
You can also look and see what you like, of course. :) I should have around $700 after bills on the first (my rent, rent, loan payment, and all of the $70 phone bill). I can throw down for a sofa if you can help cover other expenses later in the month; food, etc.
Yay! The red it is, then. I guess we can look at paying about $500 for our sofa then. Oh, crap. Sales tax! Oh, well. As long as you don't mind helping out more with groceries and such, I can throw down for the sofa. Plus I'll have more grader hours with the final papers and exams for that class coming up, which I'll be paid for later in May.
Or we can try to look locally... check out Target and K-Mart and whatnot... But $500 isn't bad. Not great, but not horrible. (Eeek, plus gas costs there and back!)
Actually, we should look at Craigslist. I forgot all about them! And I really want to go to St. Vinnie's for some spring clothes shopping, and I want to hit some yard sales, maybe over that weekend? See what we can find?
It would never cross my mind, but Brian just assured me they have nice, affordable couches there. I figured it wouldn't cause an aneurysm (or vomiting) to check it out.
Honestly, the main reason I liked IKEA is because we can a) get new covers as needed, b) they collapse and are easily moved, c) they have matching pieces we could get at a later time. My heart's not set on it, though. I know we're still young pre-proffessionals. :)

That is great.
As for the blow job, I'll leave that to his wife.
...or Condi.

And it makes me think of that blow-job dream I had...the one where I bit down...
*shudders*
I'm sorry, Honey. I'm not dedicated enough! But I'd contribute to a Blow-Job Fund.
Typical Democrats. Nobody wants to put their mouth where their money is. ;)

What do you think?

Out of all of them, I'm leaning towards the red ektorp (the first one, $499) myself.
