However much I post about politics, I never post this kind of advertisement, but it's really very well done and quite inspiring.  My inner DJ and graphic artist think this is just a top-notch project.

I am drinking alternately hot jasmine green tea and iced lemon water while writing a six-page paper for my Environmental Issues class on the controversy surrounding the three coal-burning power plants on the isthmus here in Madison.

Apparently all three of them have no pollution controls or scrubbers whatsoever, in clear violation of the Clean Air Act.  The Sierra Club has sued them to get the problem fixed but even though they won the suit, nothing has changed.  I've contacted MG&E to find out what the excuse is, and I'm waiting to hear back from someone.  I found one article talking about how they'll stop burning coal at the plant that was built in 1902 by 2011, but that doesn't really assuage my worries.

As you were.

Dan posted this a little while ago and while I was familiar with this quote, I know others are not and worst of all, most people don't know or understand that our Federal Reserve is neither federal nor a reserve.  It is not part of our government - it is a conglomeration of the largest banks in the world and they control our currency.

"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered."
~Thomas Jefferson 1802

Thomas Jefferson was one smart dude.

Around noon, while waiting for the water to boil for a new pot of tea, I took a few pictures from the top of the tallest bookshelf and did some editing and ended up with this quite odd photograph.  Yes, I'm still in my pajamas.  I do my best writing in my pajamas.
