The truth is out there, dying a slow and lonely death.

Carbon dating says my vernacular is from 3766 BCE

I hadn't gone through my Friends page in three days and it took something like four hours to do. That was a sign it is time to trim it a bit. I only cut a few people and mostly cut groups, like wtf_inc and mock_the_stupid, which take up a seriously huge amount of reading time. I'll go back and peruse them from time to time, but I've decided I don't need to be *that* up on Internet happenings.

I arrived home yesterday after staying most of the week in Madison, working and taking care of my lightning-damaged vehicle, to discover that my PC won't turn on. Apparently, there was another immense lightning storm here on Wednesday and according to my roommate, the power flickered a bit, but that was it. So I can only assume that the power fluctuations shorted out my power supply. I should be used to this now; the most common reoccurring problem in my history of computer-usage has been power supply-related. Fuck. Thankfully, I have Jacquelyn's laptop while she's away on a research trip this weekend.

It's odd to be home, since I've actually been spending more time in Madison. Being a Cancer (and being thoroughly annoyed by it,) I am very homebound or home-centered, meaning that I definitely am a happier camper when I have a house, a home-base of operations, and right now I feel completely split down the center.

Yes, dear readers, that was a massive run-on sentence.

Psssst... don't tell anyone: I really miss Jacquelyn.

Intimidate those problems away!

I emailed my very computer-savvy friend Fabian, a.k.a. He-Whom-Before-Computer-Problems-Quake, to ask him to fix my PC on Monday. Not 10 minutes later, my computer started working fine.

Fabian works for a computer company, mostly doing repairs, and it is a common occurrence for a computer brought in to immediately start working in his presence. He doesn't even have to do anything, they just start working. Apparently this is a common occurrence for tech people.

This, however, is the first time I've seen it work with just the mere threat of Fabian.

Now, I wonder who I have to email to get my car to miraculously start working again.
